The encouragement of emerging new leadership is a responsibility that Flame takes seriously. In these uncertain times, we need leaders who can develop skills to be as shining lights in a darkening world, and who can communicate with integrity and lifestyle the characteristics that are attractive to followers. Flame is actively involved in mentoring new potential leadership, but also standing alongside those who are struggling and needing extra support, advice and affirmation. ABUNDANT LIFE – Tranquillity Project Student Support We continue to be encouraged with the opportunity to support the establishment of Christian values in local schools. With the current resurgence amongst young people in spirituality, we see Flame’s role as being very significant at the present time. We have had excellent feedback from our Student Support Worker: “Sessions have focused on the anxiety faced by students surrounding their exams. Student response has been very positive, and they felt sad when the final session was completed”. Please pray for the ongoing ministry amongst students. ROMANIA PLAYGROUND CONSTRUCTIONS VISIT TO ASAU - 26th July to 2nd August
Plans are now well advanced for a new playground construction in the community of Asau. This is a deprived area notified to us by Habitat for Humanity, and due to the kindness of a friend and a specific donation, we shall be providing a playground for use in that community. Calin travels on 26th July to Romania, and Dave will follow a few days later, and will meet with the Director of Habitat for Humanity (Romania), to discuss current progress and future plans. Dave will then visit a number of previous projects and meet with Civic Dignitaries and Leaders. Please pray for all of this activity in Romania over these next few weeks CHAPLAINCY MINISTRY
 DAVE POPE'S MINISTRY Dave is now entering his 53rd year of ministry. It all started in 1970 when he joined a mission organisation known as MWE. Since then, he went on to be the founder of Saltmine, and participated in many global events, working with many agencies including the Billy Graham organisation and the Luis Palau Association. Following on from our lovely visit to Praise Gathering earlier this year, we are looking to repeat the experience in 2026. Praise Gathering is a wonderful worship event that finds churches from all over Scotland coming together in the Glasgow Concert Hall for an expression of Praise and Thanksgiving. The date will be Saturday 20th June 2026, and we encourage Flame friends to book their own accommodation. We plan for a fellowship meal together on the Saturday evening after the afternoon concert. Further detail will be released in due course for this very special event. TIME OUT IN MAJORCA 2025 The Time Out Autumn visit to Puerto Pollensa, Majorca, was very popular – lovely weather in a delightful resort, with great teaching from Ian and Ruth Coffey. 60 people joined us there, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with encouragement for future events. We are currently researching plans for 2026. Watch this space !

Times change, and Heads of Schools and Academies come and go – as do the CEO’s of Academy Trusts. So, we are in the process of realigning and reassessing our Chaplaincy Ministry support to make sure that we continue to provide spiritual input where most needed. Please pray for us as we plan for all of the opportunities and challenges ahead.
